Our teachers and staff are guided by the Standard Course of Study for North Carolina. We pride ourselves on a low student to teacher ratio. Most classes have one teacher and one teacher’s assistant with a maximum of 18 students. Please feel free to look at the following site for our K-5 curriculum www.ncpublicschools.org. Our teachers develop age-appropriate activities that introduce and strengthen academic and social skills.
In addition to the ‘basics’, we offer students a range of gross motor and creative opportunities including weekly music classes, weekly art lessons and weekly Physical Education sessions. We strive to include enrichment activities that extend our students knowledge and understanding of the world outside the classroom.
Parents and Guardians are another important source of support for our school and students. They are invited to volunteer, observe in classrooms and participate in all school activities.
Together we can create independent learners for the 21st century.
